Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)

All children have the right to inclusive, high quality teaching and learning experiences. Some children will require additional support to enable them to access this. At Harrowbarrow School we have a range of resources and staff expertise which enable us to support children who have been identified as having additional needs. This information is available through our School Offer 2023-24.

In addition, to support some SEND pupils we work with a range of external partners and agencies throughout the region. Information about these services can be found in the Cornwall Local Offer section of the Family Information Services website which also details all the provision available through the local authority. Parents and carers can access some of these services through the Early Help Hub.

Detailed information about SEND practice at Harrowbarrow can be found in our SEND policy.

If you are worried about your child’s progress or that the current level of provision isn’t meeting their needs, please contact the Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO). The SENDCO at Harrowbarrow is Headteacher Andrew Hunt.
